The Windows Recall AI feature is part of Windows 11’s evolving suite of productivity tools. It uses AI to save “snapshots” of your activities, allowing you to return to a specific point in your workflow. System Requirements for Windows Recall AI
To enable the Recall AI feature, your computer must meet these hardware specifications:
- CPU: Snapdragon X or equivalent processor.
- NPU: A Neural Processing Unit with more than 40 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second) of AI performance.
- RAM: At least 16 GB of memory.
- Storage: A minimum of 256 GB of available disk space.
At the time of this writing, devices with the required hardware are not widely available, and the feature is currently in preview mode.

How to Enable Windows Recall AI on Compatible Devices
Currently, you can only enable Windows Recall AI on Copilot Plus subscription PC. Follow these steps to enable the Recall feature on Windows 11:
1. Click on Start and search for Settings.
2. Open the Settings app.
3. In the Settings menu, select Privacy & Security.
4. Look for a new section called Recall and Snapshots.
5. Inside the Recall and Snapshots page, you’ll see a toggle switch labeled Save Snapshots.

Once the Recall feature is enabled, a dedicated icon will appear in the system tray, allowing you to open the Recall application and access additional settings. Additionally, a Recall button will be displayed next to app icons on the taskbar, providing quick access to your saved snapshots.

The Windows Recall AI feature is a powerful tool for productivity, offering seamless snapshots of your activities and synchronized access across devices. While the feature is currently available only on Copilot Plus PCs soon it will be available on other hardware.
