How to Delete a Partition on Windows 11
Never delete the drive partition that contains your Windows operating system (C: Drive) and the drive partition that contains system applications like games and software.
Below are steps to delete a volume or drive partition on Windows 11 to free up some space.
1. To delete an unused drive partition, open the Disk Management. For that, click on the Windows icon to open the Start Menu.
2. Now search for Create and format hard disk partition and open it.
3. In the Disk Management window, you see a list of available hard drive partitions. To delete the unused drive partition, select the partition, right-click on it, and click on the Delete Volume option from the context menu.

How to Extend Volume on Windows 11
When you delete the volume, it will create unallocated space. You need to assign this unallocated space to another drive partition on the same disk to increase the drive partition volume.
For that, follow the following steps:
1. Right-click on another partition on the same disk and click the Extend Volume option from the context menu.
2. It will open the extend volume wizard window. This wizard will help you to increase the size of the volume.
3. You can extend a volume by assigning unallocated space from one or more additional drives. To continue, click on Next.
4. On the next window, Windows 11 will automatically allocate all the free space next to your selected drive that you would like to extend. You can also enter the size manually next to the Select the amount of spaced in MB option.
5. Once you have entered the size manually, click on the Next button.
6. Finally, click on the Finish button to merge both the drive partitions.
